Performing Opportunities
The AMI Dance Studio Company offers performing opportunities for intermediate/advanced dancers, ages 16 and up. The Studio Company performs multiple times each year. Dancers are selected by audition, and have the chance to dance in a variety of styles: ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz.
In addition to the seasonal performances, Studio Company dancers are also able to take part in community events and perform in various venues.
The AMI Dance Studio Company will be presenting a Fall Performance on Sunday, October 11th at the ODU University Theatre. The show will begin at 7pm.

Studio Company
Spring Season 2024
AMI Dance presented the inaugural Studio Company performance on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
Local choreographers and dancers Lauren Kidd, Camryn Goad, Katie Iccano, Tianna Reed, Jaime Simpson, and Caley Vancil worked with the Studio Company dancers for several weeks creating original works (and staging a classical variation). From jazz, to contemporary, to modern, to ballet - this show was full of layers, textures, and artistry. It was a phenominal show!
Summer Season 2024
AMI Dance Studio Company returned to the Chrysler Museum stage for the summer season performance on Sunday, August 4th.
Francesca DeAngelis, Maria Jones, Lauren Kidd, Autumn Laufer, Alex Martin, Alaina Reed, and Jaime Simpson brought new works in ballet, modern, contemporary, and more! The energy definitely leapt of the stage.
Spring Season 2025
AMI Dance presented the Spring 2025 Studio Company performance on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Local choreographers and dancers Fernando Garcia, Camryn Goad, Amelia Martinez, Lauren Kidd, Jaime Simpson, and Maria Jones worked with the Studio Company dancers for many weeks. The original choreography covered many genres - from ballet, to jazz, to contemporary, to modern. The show was amazing.
Summer Season 2025
AMI Dance presented the Summer 2025 Studio Company performance on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Local choreographers and dancers Joi Ayanna Brown, Maria Jones, Alaina Reed, Autumn Rodriguez, Gabi Tibbenham, and Jaime Simpson created original choreography as well as staged a classical variation. The styles included ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, and tap. It was a high-energy, vivacious performance!
Spring Season 2026
AMI Dance presented the Spring 2026 Studio Company performance on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Local choreographers and dancers Frankie DeAngelis, Camryn Goad, K. Ashley Hine, Audrey Johnson, Lauren Kidd, Autumn Rodriguez, and Jaime Simpson created original choreography as well as staged a classical variation. The styles included ballet, jazz, modern, and contemporary. The variety of styles and personalities of the choreography came together to create an incredible evening of dance.

The classes offered are outstanding; both welcoming to new students and challenging for advanced students.
